About the Author
The author of Once Upon a Source is a nonprofit program director and educator who works with youth, alongside running a growing reselling business on Whatnot and Facebook Live and hosting multiple monetized YouTube channels spanning Disney history, baseball, youth development, and thrifting.
Once Upon a Source is a 24-chapter book pairing each Disney animated film with the original fairy tale, myth, novel, or poem that inspired it — examining exactly what changed on the way to the screen, and why. The project also includes a companion 24-week curriculum for grades 6-8, a “Disney Literary Passport” travel guide to 95 real-world story locations, and Fan Voices, a community project collecting reader submissions for inclusion in the published book.
