What It Actually Is

A chapter reservation is a small, upfront pledge — 99 cents — for one chapter of the book before it’s finished. In exchange, you’re first in line to receive that chapter’s ebook by email the moment it’s complete.

Why Reservations Exist

Two reasons, honestly. The practical one: reservations help fund the ongoing research and writing that goes into each chapter, which means the project keeps moving instead of stalling out. The other reason is just as important to me — it lets readers follow along with the project as it’s actually being built, instead of waiting years for all 24 chapters to be finished before anyone gets to read a single one.

What Founding Readers Get

Anyone who reserves a chapter before it’s released becomes a Founding Reader for that chapter. That comes with two things: early access — you get the ebook before it’s available anywhere else — and a Founding Reader acknowledgment, a small credit recognizing you as one of the readers who supported that chapter before it existed.

It’s a small thing, but it matters to me. This project is being built one chapter at a time, in public, and I’d rather build it alongside the people who are actually excited about it than disappear for years and reappear with a finished book.
